I couldn’t perform heavy barbell or dumbbell rows, my chin ups suffered big time, my deadlift dropped immensely and my forearms would get so pumped that my hands couldn’t hold on to a barbell or dumbbell mid way through a workout. I had no strength endurance in my grip at all!

 

I was pissed off and embarrassed! I quickly realized that my hands and grip were the weak link and something had to be done to get my hands up to par immediately!

 

  

Weak Hands = Weak Man

 

So I began researching methods and movements to improve my hand and grip strength. Yes, I came across countless tools and gadgets to pump up the forearms but none of these tools or gadgets were worth a dime when it came to developing super strong hands.

 

These fancy gadgets did not develop REAL Man strength in the hands.

 

You know what I’m talking about right?

 

The 50 year old construction worker who shakes your hand and practically smashes every bone in your hand has that REAL Man grip strength!

 

  Let me tell you a story about the guy who freaked us out, shut us up, woke us up to REAL Man Strength and put us in our place, once and for all….                                                                     

 

A few years back I went to a tire yard to see if they would allow my buddy and I to flip tractor tires in their yard. This tire yard had huge tractor tires stacked 30 feet high in some places!

 

They were cool about letting us flip tires, so on Saturday’s we would show up and these two guys would get the fork lift and pull down some tires for us.

  

On That Day, Our Sorry Asses Were Handed to Us Thanks to Our “All Show, No Go” Muscles!

 

It was like a slap in the face and a massive blow to the stomach, especially after we saw the fork lift operators smoke us in the tire flip!

 

These guys were watching us strain and struggle to flip the tires, chuckling the entire time as we sweated it out. My buddy and I were literally wrestling with these tires to flip them over.

 

There were times we almost got crushed by a few tires because we didn’t have that REAL Man strength to get these monstrous tires to move!

 

At that time, my buddy and I were benching 300 lbs for reps, squatting and deadlifting over 450 lbs and there we were, wrestling against tires like no tomorrow just to get them to flip once!

 

To most people, squatting 450 lbs for reps and benching 300 lbs for reps is considered strong, but NOT in the Real World!

These guys laughed at us, put down their cigarettes, YES, they were smoking cigarettes, and flipped the tire 3 times in a row without using their knee to assist in the flip, no strain and no struggle!

 

Watching this made my buddy and I look like weaklings! Imagine what this did to our egos! We were shocked like never before!

 

Both of these guys weighed about 175 lbs or so, but they were built like solid steel.

 

 

The bodybuilder who always uses straps and gear to allow him to hold on to the weight does NOT have that freakish MAN strength and he will NEVER achieve this type of freakish strength!

I learned that it was going to take waaaaay more than some gripper gadget to bring my hands up to the strength of a bone crushing vice grip! Those gripper gadgets were NOT going to be the make or break factor towards achieving REAL Man Strength. I needed something infinitely more effective, and so do you!

That day at the tire yard was our wake up call and my buddy and I KNEW that we had to do something radically different with our training!

Now I have no problem deadlifting 500 + lbs or rowing dumbbells that weigh 180 lbs, all without straps or wraps.

We have young athletes deadlifting over 600 lbs., bench pressing over 315 lbs. on a thick bar, squatting 405 lbs. or more going ass to the grass. Guys that weigh over 220 lbs. are doing pull ups on thick ropes and performing high rep sets of 1 arm rows with over 130 lbs!
